CONCEPT STATEMENT
My client is Makers Base. It is a crafts workshop is a place that let everyone can share their experience and provide a nice place that includes a full range of tools to do it themself. It can help people reduce the time spent watching mobile phones to make some craftsmanship can also help to gain confidence after finishing their work.
Nowadays, people are addicted to play mobile phones and electronic products, ignoring things around them. They are no hobbies and personal interest.Very few stores have a full range of handmade materials.There is no a good place to concentrate on making crafts.
So my design objective is cultivate an interest, spend time in their interest, more creativity, develop observation, develop self confidence.
The reason I choose this site is SS 15 is more students and office workers. And there is convenient transportation because the LRT and bus stop is nearby the site. And there is very sunny.
Makers Base is a service that you can come to the store and create from scratch with specialized staff. With friends, lovers, families and colleagues. Of course alone. We will create one in the world with a full-scale manufacturing experience.
Their service include workshop, to let people who want to have a full-scale experience. Customize, to let people who want to easily make good products. Order, those who want to make it with specifications that suit them. Use, people who want to make their own. Training, those who want to learn how to make. Shop, people who want good things made by writers.
Target users is can children to learn some things and to themselves. Student can able to make craft together. Resident, able to register as volunteer for areas. Business, able to design and do it themselves. Old people, to spend their time when doing craft.
Components of industrial style include weathered wood, building systems, exposed brick, industrial lighting fixtures and concrete. Contain some of the key elements used to achieve this style of design including exposed bricks and pipes, concrete flooring, and large open windows. This style incorporates raw materials to give the space an unfinished feel. Makers Base usually are doing crafts, so using this concept is more resistant to dirt.
